The Marching Wildcats will be performing their 2023 show OVERTHRONE two more times!

First up is the last home football game vs. Nansemond River HS.

10/28 GBMW at Tallwood Invitational

Fresh off of their Superior Rating at the VBODA State Marching Band Assessment, the Marching Wildcats head to the Tallwood Invitational this Saturday, October 28th. The band performs at 6:30 PM. 9/30 Hickory Competition

 We had a 2023 Marching Wildcats Information Night on Tuesday, May 9th at 7:30 PM in the GBHS Auditorium. 

Registration for the Marching Wildcats began May 9th. You can click here to access a handout with links, tutorials, and important information.

Registration ends on Friday, June 2nd. However, if you are relocating to the GBHS zone or are interested in joining the Color Guard and you are reading this after June 2nd, please email drew.ross@cpschools.com!

Great Bridge High School Bands, a 2022-23 Virginia State Honor Band

Congratulations to the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble! They gave two fabulous performances at the 2023 VBODA District IV Concert Band Performance Assessment held at GBHS. Both groups earned unanimous Superior Ratings from the adjudicators. 

As a result of the student's hard work, the Great Bridge Band program is now a twenty time "State Honor Band". The program is the eighteenth band to earn the distinction in Virginia.

Senior Night and Middle School Night

Our final home game is Friday, October 21st. The game is Senior Night AND Eighth Grade Night with the GBMS 8th grade band. 

We look forward to celebrating our senior class and welcoming the eighth graders to marching band!

10/8 Grassfield Competition Recap

Congratulations to the Marching Wildcats! They had a great performance at the Grizzly Classic! The band finished second place in class AAAA, winning "best music" and "best percussion" in their division.

The Marching Wildcats finished the competition third place overall out of twelve bands, winning the "best music" caption for the day.
