Welcome to the Color Guard Spin Club Info Page!

The Color Guard Spin Club is a group of students from Great Bridge High School, Great Bridge Middle School, and Crestwood Middle School that was formed to teach students about one of the most fun and rewarding activities in the marching arts - Color Guard!

What do we do?

First, absolutely NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY! Students who are interested in learning how to spin flags, incorporating dance techniques, and learning more advanced techniques used in color guard should join!

Color guard is the visual section of a marching band that interprets music through dance and synchronized manipulation of equipment like flags, rifles, and sabres. Spin Club is where it all starts for us! It is where we can teach techniques that we use to create our fall marching band program.

After the club season ends, we transition right into auditions for our Fall Color Guard, which is a major part of the Great Bridge Marching Wildcats. Working in conjunction with the band during halftime shows and competitions, they provide artistic, theatrical, and high-energy visual storytelling to enhance the overall performance.

Is Color Guard just for girls?

NO . . . Color Guard is for EVERYONE! Color Guard is one of the most inclusive groups of students ANYWHERE! We have students from all walks of life involved in our program, including musicians, athletes, actors, Most importantly, we have no bench - everyone involved is a starter. You can join the Color Guard with absolutely no experience and be performing in a matter of weeks!

Is it difficult?

Check out a video of one of our final performances in 2025

Learning anything new is never easy, but as long as we continue to maintain a positive attitude and work for improvement, it becomes one of the most rewarding activities! Pouring in hours of rehearsal and individual practice is always tough, but when you hear the roar of the crowd at a home football game or a competition, it makes everything worth it!

On top of that, you make a HUGE group of friends from all over your school and beyond. These people will be your friends for life! Many of us call it the ultimate group project!

If you are interested in joining us, we have a Color Guard Spin Club Interest Meeting on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 11th, 2026 at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be in the BAND ROOM at GREAT BRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL. Enter through door 24A, which is located near the white Marching Wildcats trailers. We will have students there to greet you and get you to the right room!

Please take a moment to fill out the interest form. We look forward to meeting you!
